Israeli pianist Yael Koldovsky is known for her versatile repertoire and distinctive musical voice. She appears as a soloist and concerto soloist with orchestras in Israel, Ukraine, and across Europe, performing repertoire ranging from the Classical period to contemporary music.
In December 2025, Yael participated in the Beethoven Weekend project in Kyiv, performing as one of four international pianists in the first complete performance in Ukraine of all Beethoven piano concertos. She performed Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine under conductor Maksym Gusak at the Kyiv Philharmonic.
Yael has appeared in solo recitals in Israel, Ukraine, Germany, the UK, and Prague, and has performed in live broadcast concerts on Israeli National Sounds of Music radio. In 2020, she performed a solo recital as part of the Arthur Rubinstein Virtual PianoFest, and in 2021 she served as a Junior Jury member at the 16th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.
She has performed concerti with the Ukraine National Symphony Orchestra, Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine, Alicante University Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Israeli Chamber Orchestra, Rishon Le-Zion Symphony Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Beer-Sheva Israeli Sinfonietta, and the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with conductors including Yi-An Xu, Bar Avni, Yoav Talmi, Mihnea Ignat, Roman Budziak, Maksym Gusak, Vag Papian, and Aviv Ron.
Yael has worked in masterclasses with internationally renowned artists, including Eliso Virsaladze, Norma Fisher, William Fong, Christoph Eschenbach, Gilbert Kalish, Lilia Zilberstein, Craig Sheppard, Tatiana Zelikman, Xiaohan Wang, Milana Chernyavska, Jerome Lowenthal, and Stephen Kovacevich. She has appeared at festivals such as Summer Lieven Music Festival (Austria), Oxford Piano Festival (UK), MusicFest Perugia (Italy), Verão Clássico (Portugal), Tel Hai International Piano Masterclasses (Israel), Dynasty Festival (Ukraine), Aviv Kameri Chamber Music Festival (Israel), and Arad International Masterclasses (Romania).
Yael is a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, including the Piano Forever Competition (Israel), the Pnina Salzman Competition (Israel), the Voice of Music Young Artist Competition (Israel), the Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes Concerto Competition (Israel), the Orbetello Piano Competition (Italy), and the Merci Maestro Competition (Belgium).
Education
Yael began her piano studies with Tania Kozlov in Tel Aviv and completed her Bachelor’s degree in the class of Prof. Arie Vardi at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University. She is a recipient of AICF Excellence grants (2014–2023), grants from the Secrets of Culture (Tzfonot Tarbut) Foundation (2013, 2020), and a grant from the Ronen Foundation (2024).
